Repentance and reconciliation..

Repent, then, and turn to God,
so that your sins may be wiped out,
that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. Act: 3-19

Why we cry for our sins..

           For the love of God

The love of God is ‘Agape’; means unconditional love. God love the sinful but a sinful can’t understand his love. To feel the love we have to be purified. Purification starts with repentance. Wiping out the sins is the starting process.

            To be perfect

The ‘good things’ to do to get eternal life is obey the rules. Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 19:16-30. But to be perfect you have to sell all that you have. Everything we ‘have’ is gift of God. The only things we ‘own’ are our on sins. So sell our sins- every little impurities- Jesus’ blood is the price and we will be perfect.

            To be called as his son

The ultimate desire of mankind is to be called as God or to equalize with God. The first sin was to be as God. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis: 3-5. And because of his great love he is ready to accept us as Gods. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. Psalm 82:6.

The Lost son is aware of this: I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee. Luke 15-11-32.

            To be fruit full

To be fruitful on earth we need daily repentance. The one or two eye drops will be  the best fertiliser for our soul to grow in his grace . Produce fruit in keeping with repentarepentance2nce. Matthew 3:8 . And Jesus also give a warning too , what will happen .
 The parable of the fig tree in Luke 13:6-9. And we do experience that ‘cut it down’ in our life, especially in our religious life because of the lack of  repentance.

Sins in new world

The sins from the starting of human kind are still here, nothing is added to it yet the changes of human life style. Only the form of sin is changed and harsh nature of sin is become more smooth and marrow so we can easily forgive the seriousness of sins and the impact of it in our soul.

As many saints remarked the worst sin is not recognizing it. A sex out of marriage or a missing Sunday Mass is not all a sin for us. Spreading rumors about our colleague never welcome a definition for sin.  We know what is sin and we don’t care to distinguish it.

The new age movement and its spirituality is widely accepted even in some form in churches.  “There is no greater enemy of the Immaculata and her Knighthood than today’s Ecumenism which every Knight must not only fight against, but also neutralize through diametrically opposed action and ultimately destroy.” -Saint Maximilian Maria Kolbe.  There is trend in church to equalize with other religions.

Another trend in civilized people is to equalize God with new practical mind power methods.  Some examples are the Silva Method by Jose Silva, NLP etc. Power of mind is not a sufficient source to confront daily problems in our life. Return-of-the-Prodigal-SonIt may find a solution to the problems perhaps, but the solution from God will be long lasting in our life especially for our soul. Power of Mind and help from the subconscious mind may not solve the ultimate questions in life and subsequently there will be no more resorts but ending our own life.  Tasting the God through meditation is another treachery. He is above all our power to understand and intimate and it will be his grace to nurture our soul than our exercise for it.

The devil will be there with his third and powerful  temptation – love wealth, glory and power- once we recognize God and we understand that we are his children.  Not to accept the God as a God and not to understand our status as His children are comparatively easy temptations than the third one. And the third temptation will last forever in our life even if we grow in religious life. Matthew 4.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me to hear joy and gladness;
that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
Hide thy face from my sins,
and blot out all mine iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart,
O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from thy presence;
and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation;
and uphold me with thy free spirit. Psalm 51.
